Modern Warfare got three installments, why shouldn’t Black Ops? That seems to be what Activision is thinking because the company released a teaser trailer that, while not directly revealing anything, makes enough references to the previous two Black Ops games in just 1:07 that it’s very clearly a new Black Ops-based Call of Duty game. The official reveal for the game will be later this month.

The next game in the Call of Duty series will be officially unveiled on April 26, Activision revealed Thursday via a teaser trailer. The trailer itself is as mysterious as it can possibly be. A Snapchat QR code pops up at some point according to The Verge, and you hear characters talking back and forth. The name Mason is referenced, referring to Alex Mason of the previous Black Ops titles. I actually like the visual style of the clip, but this is another case of someone announcing that they’re going to announce something. Not only is there no gameplay, but there’s no information about the game’s story, world, or other details. it’s just little scraps. We know a Call of Duty is coming, as it’s just part of Activision’s yearly plan, and we knew Treyarch was this year’s Call of Duty studio. If you’re a hardcore fan of the series, you may be able to pick some worthwhile information out of the scraps. For the rest of us, we’ll be looking forward to the game’s official reveal on April 26, 2015.
