Meizu might not be a familiar name to most people in the West, but the Chinese company has been growing at a rapid pace these past few months, having managed to sell 8.9 million smartphones in the first half of 2015. The Meizu MX5 is the most enticing of a number of excellent smartphones that the company has released so far this year, but while we were still waiting for the MX5 Pro to be released, it looks like Meizu has done away with the MX Pro line entirely. Instead, we have the Meizu NIUX, which appeared on AnTuTu earlier today with some pretty impressive specs.

Meizu has had quite a successful year thus far. The company has managed to sell 8.9 million smartphones in the first half of the year, and increase their sales 540% compared to the same period last year. Meizu has released a number of compelling smartphones this year, and the most powerful one is definitely the Meizu MX5, the company’s flagship for this year. The Meizu MX5 Pro was also expected to launch later this year, but it seems like the company has cancelled the whole ‘MX Pro’ line of devices, and it will focus on creating a new premium handset which is expected to arrive in Q1 2016 (if not sooner). That being said, we’ve seen this handset (Meizu ME5) rumored earlier today. A rumor which arrived from China shared quite a few spec details when it comes to this device, including the fact that it will be powered by MediaTek’s Heliox X20 64-bit deca-core SoC. Well, that rumor might not be that accurate considering the fact that a new Meizu-branded device paid a visit to AnTuTu recently, and according to that benchmarking site, the phone definitely doesn’t run Helio X20. Anyhow, let’s see what AnTuTu listing says, shall we.
