Motorola has started to test upcoming software updates by carrying out a soak test. The installation process of the software is limited to just a tiny number of units, and even then, it is by invitation only. This is not due to a discriminatory process, but rather, Motorola most probably wants to limit the number of handsets which might actually end up bricked if things go awry.
