Google has a present for those want access to sophisticated data with relation to our very own planet. It’s called Google Earth Engine, and it is Google’s attempt to better the world through scientific research. Users are free to explore this data right in their browser, and there is much more data on the way.

So what is

It all boils down to the desire for data. Researchers and scientists can use data from the past to make better predictions for our future. So, who knows, maybe this whole Global Warming thing is simply a myth? And maybe it will lead to a better five-day weather forecast (but I’m skeptical about that)!

I think that global warming is real, but perhaps we’ve been looking in the wrong places. Perhaps we should be focusing deforestation as a number one priority. I know, deforestation is so 80’s but scientists have been warning people about it for a long time.

Maybe the global warming thing is a myth. But I wouldn’t necessarily count on this data to clear that up: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/climatechange/6619796/Climate-scientists-accused-of-manipulating-global-warming-data.html
