HP already has some solid computer monitors out there, but its newest one is certainly more innovative than any of the monitors the company previously released. Known as the Zvr Virtual Reality Display, the company claims that this advanced display will break down “the barriers between the digital and physical worlds.”
HP is showing off its Zvr Virtual Reality Display, a monitor that allows users to manipulate and toy with 3D images on the screen by using glasses in a stylus. With the technology, someone could virtually dissect a frog, for example, explore an office building or even poke at the insides of the human heart, according to HP. HP is launching the display in collaboration with zSpace, a virtual reality development group, as part of HP’s Blended Reality technologies division, which diminishes “the barriers between the digital and physical worlds,” according to HP. This one’s designed with an educational mission in mind: It’s not hard to imagine an aspiring surgeon examining the human body on this screen.
