It’s hard to decide whether this is a testament to how technology is advancing and making things more accessible to people of all ages or whether we’re training the children of today’s society to rely on electronic devices, losing part of our heritage and enabling a reliance on technological innovations to define our methods of media and communication. Either way, it’s adorable.

Tenshihi, are you sad that people dont ride horses anymore in the streets now that we all have cars? Are you upset that we all arent taking ships across the ocean now that we have planes that do it better? Get over it, the world progresses.
What I dont like, however, is that nice litle Steve Jobs plug. That would be cool and all if the IPad was the first E-Reader, much less the first ever tablet. Neither of which is true. Stop trying to idolize a dead man who, though greatly helped the industry, did not define it.
While I understand that magazines are coming to a slow and painful death, I don’t understand WHY a 1 year old even knows what an iPad is. My almost 2 year old has seen one but he’s never wanted anything to do with it.
Parents determine whether or not a child relies on electronic devices, not the devices themselves. I agree with Kate. My son is 2 and loves books and magazines. He’s never seen an iPad and isn’t allowed to play with my iPhone. You are the parent, act like it.
