It’s hard to believe that Xiaomi has been able to achieve such a ridiculous level of success in just a few years, but the burgeoning Chinese startup is only just now turning five years old. To celebrate the occasion, Xiaomi has teased a big announcement on March 31 that will see at least one new product unveiled. Most people seem to think it will be a smartwatch or a new tablet, or even both.

With all your support and company over the years, Xiaomi is turning 5 next month. We have prepared big surprises for Mi fans who have loved Xiaomi all the way. Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, will be having a conversation with some invited domestic tech media and launching new Mi product(s) on 31 March. On April 8th last year, Xiaomi China offered a 12-hour flash sale on mi.com with 400,000 units of Mi 3 and Mi 2S , 600,000 units of Redmi phones, along with lots of accessories, and achieved RMB 1.5 Billion in revenues. Xiaomi HongKong, Xiaomi Taiwan and Xiaomi Singapore attended the Mi Fan Festival last year too. Over 130k phones were sold in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore combined. Xiaomi Singapore offered free mobile clinic service and 13,000 sets of phones in stock for Mi fans, with 20% off a special new accessory.
