Advanced Micro Devices has lost its share price substantially in the previous week, although the shrewd market investors see a possible discount.

After the fourth-quarter results and low-key first-quarter projections, the stock slipped 17% on February 4, as that announcement disrupted the market psychology.

Post-Earnings Sell-off Overdone

AMD has delivered impressive 2025 performances: revenue grew by 34% to $34.6 billion with its data-center and gaming divisions. In both the year 2024 and 2026, net income increased to $4.3 billion and $1.6 billion respectively due to cost control and tax breaks.

However, a first-quarter revenue projection of $9.5-$10.1-billion. On February 9, the share was listed at $216.00, 4.38% on that day, and its market capitalization was valued at $352.17 billion, with a trailing P/E of 81.51 but a forward P/ E around 32, similar to that of S&P 500.

Growth Engine Stays Strong

Advanced Micro Devices outperformed 97% of the companies analyzed by MarketBeat, placing 36th out of 627 stocks in the computer and technology sector. Scores are calculated by averaging available category scores, with extra emphasis placed on analysis and valuation.

AMD reiterated its long-term financial targets, which were first announced at its November 2025 analyst day, aiming for a 35% revenue compound annual growth rate over the next three to five years.

Within, AMD expects data center revenue to grow at a 60% CAGR, reaching $100 billion by 2030 from $16.6 billion in 2025. Even though the embedded segment did not perform so well, future AI accelerators, like the MI450X, will be groundbreaking.

Bright AI Horizon Ahead

More importantly, the fundamentals of AMD are an indication of a highly underpriced opportunity. The artificial-intelligence demand is set to rise dramatically, and shares are predicted to push past the recent highs in the short and long term respectively should the projected growth be met.

Those investors who do not succumb to market panic can be rewarded with huge returns on account of fundamentals at last gaining dominance over panic.
