Strategy, the aggressively priced, Bitcoin acquisitions boss led by Michael Saylor, has avoided delisting in the Nasdaq 100 following the December 13, 2025 fund reengineering.

The rebalancing saved the cryptocurrency-focused firm and cut the existing incumbent including Biogen and Lululemon.

This stability overcame the existing skepticism towards its buy-and-hold strategy by its equity rising 450 per cent year-to-year in the same time as Bitcoin shot up to over $108,000.

Index Shakeup Hits Hard. The changes will take effect prior to the market opening on Monday, December 22, 2025.

Six companies will be added to the Index: Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ALNY), Ferrovial SE (FER), Insmed Inc. (INSM), Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPWR), Seagate Technology Holdings plc (STX), and Western Digital Corp. (WDC).

Previously, Bitcoin Development Company MicroStrategy (MSTR) added 55,500 of the largest cryptocurrency for $5.4 billion, bringing its holdings to 386.700 BTC worth nearly $38 billion

Roots in Software, Crypto Bet Now

The organization was established in 1989 as an enterprise-software specialist but in 2020 took a decisive turn to the area of Bitcoin, accumulating a set of possessions that overshadow the ones of the rivals.

This treasury-like investment has provoked more than 20 imitations, but the shares are highly volatile.

The firm falls in the technology market according to Nasdaq and investors call it an investment fund in disguise.

In a letter to MSCI dated Dec. 10, Executive Chairman Michael Saylor and CEO Phong Le argued that

the company is not a passive Bitcoin accumulator but an operating enterprise that issues preferred stock and other instruments to finance new purchases.

At the Bitcoin MENA event in Abu Dhabi, Saylor also said

he has been meeting with sovereign wealth funds, bankers and family offices to position Bitcoin as “digital capital” and “digital gold.”

He argued that a new category of “digital credit” built on top of Bitcoin can deliver yield without the volatility typically associated with the asset, underscoring his push to bring institutional capital into the space.

What Lies Ahead?

It is estimated by analysts that Strategy will flourish once Bitcoin rises to $150,000 by the end 2026 and thus strengthen its position in the Nasdaq.

The January MSCI assessment will be watched by market participants because the result may determine the presence of cryptocurrency companies within Wall Street.
