Halloween is just a few days away, which means its time for Steam’s annual Halloween Sale to assault our wallets. Since it’s a Halloween-themed sale, it’s only natural for horror games to be the primary focus, with games like Dead Space and Left 4 Dead selling for around $4.99, but not all of them are horror games. Massive titles like Grand Theft Auto V and The Witcher 3 are selling for around $39.99, as well as dozens of other games. Assuming your Steam library isn’t already filled to the brim with games you need to play, this year’s Halloween Sale is definitely worth checking out.

Just two weeks removed from Valve’s stealth-themed Steam sale, the company has gone live with its next promotion. The Steam Halloween Sale offers deep discounts on dozens of games across a variety of genres (not just scary games, as the sale would suggest). Those after frightening titles can pick up Left 4 Dead and its sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, for $3.99 each (that’s 80 percent off), Dying Light at half off for $29.99, 75 percent off Amnesia: The Dark Descent which brings the price down to $4.99, Outlast for just $4.99 and half off Five Nights at Freddy’s, yours for $2.49. If horror isn’t your cup of tea, you can pick up Grand Theft Auto V for $40.19 (33 percent off), Cities: Skylines for half price at $14.99, Prototype for just $4.99 (75 percent off), Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor at 66 percent off for $16.99 or 25 percent off Renowned Explorers: International Society which brings the price down to $14.99. The Steam Halloween Sale runs through November 2 at 10AM PDT. Are you planning to stay in this weekend and game it up? If so, what titles do you aim to purchase? Let us know what’s on the slate in the comments section below!
