Electric car sales continue to soar in Norway

Considering Norway has some of the largest oil reserves in the world, it may come as a surprise that thousands of Norwegians are making the switch to electric cars. The country offers tax incentives to citizens who make the switch to electric cars but unfortunately, these tax incentives are costing the country dearly.  

Following the example of their crown prince, thousands of Norwegians have switched to electric cars, taking advantage of strong and somewhat controversial government incentives. For the second month in a row, an electric car topped new car registrations in October in the Nordic country, where 716 Nissan Leaf were sold with an unprecedented market share of 5.6 percent.
