Google Hangouts is perfect for people looking to connect with their friends and family while Google Helpouts is great for connecting with experts in various fields who can help you overcome whatever problems you may be having or just answer some of your questions. It sounds like an excellent idea on paper but, unfortunately, the service never picked up and now Google is shutting it down.

Google Hangouts is a great feature to use if you want to chat with friends or family or even colleagues. Users can even video conference using Hangouts, which is how Google Helpouts was conceived. Some of you guys might recall the feature being launched back in 2013 where the idea was for users to get advice on certain topics via video chats from the experts. However if you haven’t heard of it let alone bother to use it, chances are you are not alone. Google has recently announced that they will be shutting down the Helpouts service on the 20th of April, claiming that there has not been enough interest in the platform and the lack of growth which is why they have decided to put an end to it.
