We get to see a lot of tire technology “advancements” that turn out to be a little better rubber, a new gripping pattern, or something that will allow drivers to go on a flat for an extended distance. We rarely get to see anything that’s truly revolutionary, but Hankook is trying to change this and doing an admirable job along the way. These aren’t your standard tire upgrades. They’re downright nifty.

Most drivers don’t think of their tires until they realize they need new ones. This usually comes as the result of a flat tire, noticing the last bit of tread wearing on the tires, or even a spinout on a wet and slippery road as a result of a lack of tire tread. For Hankook, tires is a lifetime passion and as part of the biannual Design Innovation Project they have three amazing tires to show off the public that could revolutionize the world of racing, especially for the racers on road or off road courses.
