You can buy just about anything you want online: electronics, computers, food, homes, even islands. Outside of eBay and the occasional private sale, cars have avoided the eCommerce trends. Today, you still have to go to a dealership to fill out the paperwork, test drive the vehicle, and haggle over pricing. In 2015, it appears that the ability to finally buy a vehicle directly through the internet is going to become commonplace. Not everyone will do it, but at least it will be possible.

TECHi's Take
The comfort zone is expanding, particularly for new vehicles. It’s harder to imagine buying a used car without a test drive, but new cars tend to perform consistently and at high levels. With the ability to see reliability studies, consumer reviews, and every possible specification regarding a new vehicle, we’re now in a place where the industry is ready for more eCommerce.
