Some will embrace them when they come. Some will fight. Most think that they’re already here. The mythical robot overlords who are supposed to take over society at some point in the future (based upon a combination of fiction and real scientific advancements) are able to do more, think faster, and be “creative” in ways that has both blue-collar and white-collar workers either concerned or elated about what the future holds. Now, experts have calculated that the number of jobs in western culture that are taken over by robots could hit 30% by 2025.
If you do any sort of job that could be considered “blue collar”, you’ve probably seen some form of technology designed to assist you in doing your job better or even taking over some of your work. You may even be one who fell victim to technology making your job obsolete. Not only will this spread over the next decade, but experts are predicting that many “white collar” jobs will fall into the same category before 2025.
