Google has officially launched the Pixel 10 Pro, and while the other companies are setting prices to the sky, Google has changed the narrative. The details were received from WinFuture’s Roland Quandt, in which European pricing has been shown.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be available at a lower price as compared to other price tags from different portfolios. The mentioned price tags include:

| Pixel Buds 2a | — | €149 |
According to the provided price tag list, the Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold prices for 120GB storage have not been disclosed as of yet. It is possible that these will be provided before the launch, which is scheduled for 20 August 2025. The users found it surprising, and commented:
“It would’ve been great if Google had lowered the Fold’s price like Android Headlines hinted, but to be fair, this pricing seems way more believable.”
Another user says:
“Will there be any free product or discount when buying the Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL? I remember when I bought the Pixel 8 Pro, it came with free Pixel Buds or a €200 discount on the Pixel Watch.”
However, as of now, there is no announcement from Google about a free product like buds or a watch, or any discount on Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL purchase.
But it’s possible that they might introduce it with its launch.
What sets it apart from other Android devices?
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are designed using the Tensor G5 chip, which is made by Google, as it’s the company’s first fully in-house chip design. Before this launch, it depended on Samsung’s semi-custom approach.
Other than that, they boosted the memory to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. This feature allows multitasking, smooth performance in AI-driven tasks and better app handling.
However, at the time when users were excited by Google’s Tensor G5 launch, a tipster tweeted that G5 performance will be the same as the G4 Tensor. The primary difference actually lies in manufacturing, as the G4 is manufactured by Samsung, while the G5 is manufactured by TSMC. The fact is that G5 will support 3.1 UFS, but other companies are moving toward 4.1 UFS or NVME SSD.
But for many years, Google has been using Exynos modems, which have caused issues in past Pixel models, especially in battery and thermal performance. If the new MediaTek 900 performs well, it’ll be a big flagship for Google. For now, we’ll have to wait for official confirmation on aspects like connectivity, power efficiency, and overall user experience.
Here’s a quick comparison of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro based on the available specifications so far:
| Feature | Pixel 10 | Pixel 10 Pro |
| Chipset | Tensor G5 | Tensor G5 |

In addition, Google also promises 7 years of software and security updates. Its 480Hz PWM dimming features increase comfort, especially during long periods of use. Altogether, the Pro models deliver a solid balance between power, user experience, and pricing, starting at €1,099 for the Pro and €1,299 for the Pro XL.
Should you wait for the Pixel 10 Pro
Yes, if you are a fan of Pixel phones and planning to upgrade your old phone, it will offer you an exciting experience. Furthermore, you will be able to experience Tensor G5, which is the major upgrade of this system.
The Pixel Pro 10 is not a flashy update or an upgrade from the Pixel 9; its motive is to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z-flip. It delivers quality features, such as a triple-lens camera, longer battery life, and smart AI-driven Tensor G5 chips.
There is no doubt that Samsung leads due to its foldable design, but Google is offering all this at a low price to take on the challenge.
Whether the Pixel 10 Pro leads or fades will depend on its real-world performance. If the Tensor G5 chips work according to their plan, this will be a significant shift in Google’s Android history. It is also possible that Google might need to change its specs according to user experience, as other companies like Apple are doing. But all of this will help Google to boost its Android power and strengthen its chances to lead the market.
