The ability to take a game with you rather than halt it while you leave is one of the most appealing new features of the PlayStation 4. You could be in the middle of fighting dragons or scoring goals when the need to leave the house arises – just about every gamer has experienced this at some point in their lives. With Remote Play, your Vita takes the game with you. No need to stop playing, right?

Not so fast. There are limitations. There are exceptions. There’s also a distinct need to be on WiFi and not mobile networks, which kills the dreams of gamers who thought they could keep playing while the walk to school.
