It’s official: we have reached the peak of phablet insanity. Samsung on Friday unveiled the latest addition to its phablet lineup. While the device officially falls under Samsung’s “Tab” product family of tablets, you’ll notice that the Galaxy Tab Q is not like normal tablets. Instead, it includes an ear speaker and a microphone, and it supports voice calling. In other words, Samsung expects you to hold this gigantic beast of a tablet up to your face to make phone calls.

Samsung’s relentless tablet launches continue and the latest one to join in line is the TabQ. Although it’s limited to China for now, we assume it will soon be announced for many global markets. The tablet compatible with China Mobile (SM-T2558) and China Unicom (SM-T2556) supports voice calling, 4G LTE support and a faux leather finish, just like the Galaxy Note 3. As for the hardware specs, it comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 7-inch HD TFT display (720p), 8 megapixel main camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi and 3200mAh battery.
