OnePlus has proven time and time again that it makes promises it can’t keep, such as claiming the OnePlus 2 wouldn’t be as difficult to purchase as its predecessor. Obviously that was a lie, as getting your hands on a OnePlus 2 invite is still much harder than it should be, but the good news is that, customers will be able to buy the smartphone without an invite next week. The catch is that the purchase must be made between 12PM and 1PM PDT on October 12th.

OnePlus is kicking off its first open sale for the OnePlus 2 on October 12, allowing customers without an invite to purchase the handset. The vendor will have the phone up for sale for one hour, starting at 12PM, across several time zones. OnePlus has mentioned that the time slots will be region-locked, meaning that customers in the US will be able to purchase the handset only during the 12PM to 1PM PDT window. The vendor also stated that Indian buyers will be able to buy the phone on Amazon India from 12PM to 1PM without an invite. You can buy a maximum of two phones per order, but you can place as many orders as you want during the one-hour window. Estimated shipping time for your order will be shown during checkout. How many of you are interested in picking up the OnePlus 2 in three days’ time?
