Just when I think the OnePlus 2 is too good to be true, OnePlus goes and sweetens the deal even more. We already know that the device will come with a high-end Snapdragon 810 processor and will be priced under $450, so I wasn’t expecting the rumors that the smartphone would also have 4GB of RAM to be true. I mean, how can they pack these kind of specs into a smartphone that cheap?! Well, despite how hard it is to believe, OnePlus confirmed earlier today that the OnePlus 2 will definitely be coming with 4GB of RAM.

OnePlus has started hyping up its upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone ahead of its release later this month and the company has been putting out little teasers of assorted specifications and features we can expect to see. Below we’ve recapped everything that OnePlus has officially announced so far about the OnePlus 2. As far as baseline specs go, the OnePlus 2 is going to feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and a USB Type-C port. Having 4GB of RAM on a smartphone vastly improves the device’s ability to perform multiple tasks at once, including the ability to have several graphics-intensive games running at the same time. The Snapdragon 810 processor, meanwhile, is well known to Android fans who have bought new devices this year, although not for the best reasons. The 810 was notorious in early days for overheating issues even though it seems that Qualcomm and OEMs using the chipset have since managed to get this issue under control. And of course, USB Type-C ports are wonderfully useful because they let you use one port for a variety of functions, including a device’s power, USB data transfer, HDMI and VGA capabilities.
