The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the South Korean tech company’s flagship phone at the moment. It sports some pretty high-end hardware which also means that it has an expensive price tag to match. Now if you don’t really need all that fancy hardware and just want a smartphone, you might be interested to learn that the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has been rumored for a possible release in July. This is according to the folks at SamMobile whose sources have informed them that the handset is expected to see a release in July, and that it will be available worldwide. Just like a new Galaxy S flagship is a given each year, so is a new iteration of the current Galaxy S’ mini variant, a device that Samsung always hopes to sell not based on its feature list, but on the fact that it carries the name of the company’s multimillion-selling flagship. This year will be no different – theGalaxy S5 Mini has been leaked numerous times in the past few weeks, with our exclusive post revealing its photos and specs leaving nothing to the imagination. Today, we have received some information about the release date of the Galaxy S5 mini – according to our source, the device will go up for sale in markets worldwide in mid-July. Now, that isn’t exactly the most concrete piece of information, but it’s all we have at the moment. It’s not exactly a very surprising revelation either, as a mid-July release falls in line with the Galaxy S4 Mini’s launch last year. Thankfully, the S5 Mini won’t be as mid-range as the Galaxy S4 Mini was, and will actually offer some of the features seen on the flagship it is spun off from, including a fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, and IP67 water and dust resistance.
