Rumors that Google and LG would be teaming up once again to create a premium smartphone have been popping up for a while now, but we may actually have a confirmation from within LG that the company is at least considering making the device. We know next to nothing about this rumored smartphone other than that it’ll probably be 5.2-inches.

You may have heard the rumors that LG is making a Nexus this year – what we’ve been calling the Nexus 5 (2015), because it will reportedly be a 5.2-inch device. We now have confirmation from sources within LG that the company is indeed considering making the 2015 Nexus. Until now, Huawei had been the most consistently rumored OEM partner for the Google Nexus smartphone (with no concrete particulars surrounding a possible Nexus tablet partnership). Last year, LG was mildly rumored to be behind what later became the Nexus 6 under Motorola, but our sources told us at the time that LG had its reasons for wishing to focus on its own portfolio rather than make a third back-to-back Nexus with Google.
