Yesterday afternoon, a mysterious timer popped up on Pebble’s official website, which is set to expire at mid-day on September 23rd, but what will happen when it does? A new product announcement or software update seems like the most likely occurrence, but unfortunately, Pebble is keeping that a mystery. It’s only a few days away, so I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

Ready for a mystery? Pebble has posted a countdown timer on its website with a timer that’ll expire at mid-day on September 23. Unfortunately, Pebble doesn’t reveal exactly what’s going to happen when its time reaches zero, saying only that it’s “time to start guessing.” So what might Pebble be teasing? We’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out, but it’s possible that we’ll see Pebble’s new Timeline experience roll out to the original Pebble next week. The company teased earlier this month that it’s been “hard at work” on Timeline for the original Pebble, and yesterday Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky posted a “What’s Next!” on Pebble Time’s Kickstarter page that said that the Timeline interface would be released to the original Pebble and Pebble Steel “in the short term.” While we wait to see what Pebble will announce next week, you can get a preview of the Timeline UI running on the original Pebble right here. How many of you are rocking an OG Pebble or Pebble Steel?
