In three days, Xiaomi will throw its end-of-the-year Grand Finale event, where it’s expected to unveil a bunch of new products, including the Redmi Note 2. We’re not sure what else the company will be unveiling, but some rumors out of China claim that the company will announce its first smartwatch at the event. This is just a rumor, but considering how the company’s fitness trackers have been selling very well, it stands to reason that it would want to expand further into the wearables market.

Xiaomi’s biggest unveiling event of the year will be held in four days from now, on the 24th of November. The company already sent out press invites, and an additional 500 tickets for the so-called “grand finale” have been put up for sale in China. Although the company did not reveal any of the products that will be present on stage, it’s pretty safe to say that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will be one of them. However, the biggest surprise from the company’s part might arrive in the form of a wearable as sources in China now claim that Xiaomi’s first smartwatch will debut along with the 5.5-inch phablet. Xiaomi first entered the wearable market last year with the first-generation Mi Band, and it was only a few days ago when the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S was introduced to the market. However, if the latest rumors turn out to be correct, Xiaomi has much bigger plans for the wearable segment, as the company’s first smartwatch will reportedly be officially introduced next week, on the 24th of the month, during the same event where the Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to make an appearance.
