Nintendo’s new NX console is now available for pre-order in some areas and people still have no idea what the hell it is. Considering that the device was announces shortly after the company made its plans for the mobile market clear, it would be safe to assume the NX may be some sort of mobile device, perhaps a gaming-centric smartphone or tablet? Either way, we won’t know anything until Nintendo reveals more, which may take a while.

Nintendo’s recently-announced ‘NX’ console is already up for pre-orders at EB Games Australia, who posted the above graphic asking “What’s NX’T?” on Facebook before saying that it can be preordered in-store. First, to answer that question: I have no freakin’ idea. That’s exactly the point. There’s no information about this console whatsoever. So what are we pre-ordering here? An idea? If that’s the case, please EB Games Australia, let me plunk down $5 for the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Two, and Nintendo 4DS. To clarify what the hell they’re doing, an EB Games Australia representative told GameSpot why they were doing this: “At EB Games we have a very loyal Nintendo fan base, many of whom love the opportunity to put their names down first for new products. As long as that demand exists, we will continue to give fans what they want and be at the forefront of gaming announcements.”
