AI safety and research company, Anthropic, has recently announced to modify its chabot, Claude, to voice mode. The layout of this initiative is yet to be disclosed but reports suggest that Anthropic has been collaborating with Amazon and ElevenLabs to develop this feature.
Claude is an AI assistant developed by US-based start-up company, Anthropic , to build accurate and safe AI systems. With Claude, users can draft documents, graphics, and codes. It can be used for personal as well as team work. There are four plans provided by Claude: Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise, each having its own specification and features.
The modification of Claude to voice mode will potentially enhance user interaction and accessibility. It will improve the efficiency of Claude by allowing faster and more intuitive interactions between the users and the AI assistant. In a recent interview, Mike Krieger, Chief Product Officer of Anthropic stated that
“We are doing some work around how Claude for desktop evolves… if it is going to be operating your computer, a more natural user interface might be to [speak to it]. We will do voice internally… it is a useful modality to have. We have prototypes.”
The company has not announced any final deal that will pave way for this modification. However, Krieger disclosed that the company is discussing launch of voice mode with different partners and investors. Anthropic is a San Francisco based start-up company founded by Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodel in 2021. The company entered in AI research service market in 2023 with the launch of Claude. Its research interests include human feedback, code generation, natural language, and reinforce learning. Claude 3.7 Sonnet is the latest and most intelligent AI model of the company till date.
