Envision that you are living in a digital world,  playing games, collaborating with friends, setting future plans, and sharpening your old memories, all from the comfort of your home. You might wonder what’s special about it as Virtual reality is already contributing to it. The headline here is that Apple is back in the market, with its Vision Pro. Apple Vision Pro has been integrated with Vision OS 26, a new update after 2 years of silence.

When Apple introduced Personas to create a digital version of your face, it was limited, blurry and looked awkward. However, they have now removed it from beta and introduced Vision OS 26. Now they look more realistic, with a clear side profile view and facial expressions. In addition, spatial widgets and shared experiences features have been introduced. In which we can watch 3D movies with our friends, collaborate in games, all from the same room. If you set any widgets, such as a to-do list on your table, it’ll remain there even if you remove the headsets and rewear them.

All of these additions are appreciable, but a surprising thing is still missed. They have not added the Apple Pencil Pro feature for creativity. You can play games and interact with third-party controllers, but you can’t draw or sketch using Apple’s own Pencil.

Maybe Apple plans to add Pencil Pro support later but that’s not the matter of focus right now. The real concern is bigger than just features. Are we adapting to technology, or is technology starting to control us? A decade ago, kids played outside and connected with others. Now, screens and indoor games have replaced real interaction. Even jobs are fading as automation grows. Tech keeps advancing, but we need to ask ourselves, if the heights of innovation are helping us stay connected, or quietly pulling us apart.
