The country has been on the verge of a science and startup boom for a while, and as a man who is seen as a potential leader in innovation, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull thinks it’s about time the boom happens. The CSIRO, which is the Australian government’s scientific research agency, is currently setting up a $200 million fund to help startups commercialize their science ideas, and is also receiving an increase in funding for its own research.
