Cyanogen and OnePlus aren’t exactly on the best terms at the moment, especially considering OnePlus is preparing to unveil its own custom Android ROM next month, but that doesn’t mean the OnePlus One won’t be receiving any more CyanogenMod updates.

The relationship between Cyanogen and OnePlus is strained, that much is evident, but this doesn’t mean that phones which were shipped with CyanogenMod ROMs will stop receiving updates. The software maker confirmed today through Twitter that the OnePlus One Lollipop CyanogenMod 12S build has entered testing. A step up from the 11S build, the new software is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Cyanogen confirmed today that the build is now in final quality assurance testing phase. It will work with third-parties in order to meet standards that are required to retain Google Play Services. It is based on Android 5.0.2 and will be released over-the-air to OnePlus One units when the time comes.
