Apple and Samsung’s most recent flagships are the two smartphones that all other flagships are going to be compared to, and that includes comparing cameras. While we don’t have any way to compare the OnePlus 2’s performance to the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6, OnePlus has been more than happy to show off its upcoming smartphone’s camera, and I must say, the results are pretty damn impressive.

We’d already seen evidence that the OnePlus 2 had a camera to be reckoned with, but now we get an even more detailed look at its capabilities. New sample shots have appeared online, and they were compared with samples from two of the top smartphone cameras on the market — Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6. That’s big boy ball in the realm of smartphone cameras, and OnePlus seems to have hit a homerun. The first set of shots compare the OnePlus 2 to the Samsung Galaxy S6 in macro photography. We can see from these set of samples that the OnePlus 2 recreated the color with better accuracy, and the picture also seems to have come out much clearer (though we won’t rule out a potential smudge on the lens of the Samsung Galaxy S6).
