Rumors that Apple is working on a 12-inch MacBook Air and a 12-inch iPad Air have been so detailed and numerous that most people see it as a “when” rather than an “if”. Further confirming these rumors is a set of leaked images from iFanR that claims to show off both of the new devices alongside Apple’s current lineup of products.
Apple is expected to soon launch a new version of the MacBook Air, a 12-inch model that’s supposed to be thinner than every previous MacBook Air and will sport a new design made possible by the adoption of Intel’s Core M processor, which doesn’t require fans for cooling. After an extensive report detailed some of the characteristics of the upcoming laptop, Chinese online publication iFanR has obtained images that seem to show the 12-inch MacBook Air next to existing MacBook Air and iPad Air models. The images (available in the gallery below) do not show a fully working 12-inch MacBook Air, but they provide plenty of revealing details thanks to the comparison to existing Apple gear.
