Considering the fact that China has the world’s largest population, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the country also has the world’s largest population of mobile users. Even so, the number is still staggering to look at, as China’s MIIT has released a new figure claiming that there were over 1.286 billion mobile phone users in the country as of last month.

We do know that China is the country with the world’s highest population, and out of the billion plus people, it seems that there were 1.286 billion mobile phone users as of last month. This is a hefty amount for sure, and to think of the infrastructure that has to be in place in order to support that many number of users is mind boggling. Well, the above figure is an official number from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and that would mean that whopping 94.5% of the country’s population have actually made use of a mobile phone at the end of 2014.
