Microsoft is still performing remarkably well, and it does not seem to be stumbling yet. Its future relies on the productivity tools offered by the company, such as Office, cloud services with the help of Azure and the growing artificial intelligence capabilities. The revenue of Microsoft has almost tripled, and the net income has taken almost a four-fold jump in the last decade. This has been encouraged by the unceasing growth of the realm of cloud computing, of which Azure is leading the way. Azure, with an annual growth of about 30% is assisting Microsoft to narrow the margin with Amazon AWS, and in the long run, it could become the market leader in the cloud industry.

Forecasts show that Microsoft’s revenue and profit will continue climbing in the future until 2030. The earnings per share are expected to increase to almost $29 in 2030, rising by approximately $15 in 2025. That would move the value of the stock up to above $860 at the turn of the decade (up its current price of about 500). That is over a 70% rise, it is also lowly rated by investors, with most analysts rating it as a buy with solid profit margins and strong fundamentals.

It is obvious that Microsoft will be using cloud and AI in the future. Its storing of AI in this phase with OpenAI and subsequently via implanting AI in business tools has given it an edge over rivals. Investors might witness an even higher profit provided Microsoft stays in line with or even ahead of its competitors in AI and cloud. Altogether, Microsoft is a strong long-term bet that has great prospects within the next five years and even further.
