OnePlus confirms the OnePlus 2 will have an invite system at launch

So there’s good new and bad news for OnePlus One fans. The good news is that OnePlus has decided to drop the smartphones much-hated invite system for good. The bad news is that the OnePlus 2 will have the same system at launch. To be fair, the company does have some razor-thin margins in order to maintain such low prices and doesn’t have the cash reserves that market leaders like Apple and Samsung have, which means overstocking could be disastrous. Fortunately, OnePlus did assure us that it’s much more prepared this time around and should switch off the invite system much sooner with the OnePlus 2.
