The rumor that Pepsi was working on its own smartphone was one of the strangest bits of news the tech world has seen this year, bu last month, the company confirmed that it is, in fact, working on its first smartphone, and now it needs some help to do so. The mid-range device will be known as the Pepsi Phone P1, and will run on a custom version of Android, but before it actually launched, Pepsi needs some crowdfunding money. The company is looking for about $470,000 through its crowdfunding page on JD.com, but it’s important to note the device will be exclusive to China.
