Google Glass is still an interesting gadget, even though Google has been dangling in front of our faces for well over a year. The longer you take to get a product out, the more competitors arise, and it appears as if Sammy is about to enter the wearable headset fray with the Samsung Gear Blink. The Samsung Gear Blink is said to be Samsung’s answer to Google Glass. At first, it may not sound like a great idea until you consider what they’ve managed to pull off with Samsung Gear VR. That gadget is getting rave reviews, and if that can produce a mobile VR setup, we’re sure they can knock Gear Blink out of the park.

When it comes to wearable tech, it does look as though the smartwatch department is a whole lot more hip and happening compared to smart glasses, where the latter does not have all that much competition as nobody has the reach of Google just yet to challenge the Google Glass. Whereas smartwatches have a slew of new releases, and the Apple Watch is the latest one to be introduced. Having said that, Samsung has not forgotten about smart glasses just yet, where a report points to the very real possibility of Samsung’s Tizen-powered Gear Blink being introduced to the masses this coming March 2015. Apparently, the source of this latest rumor is attributed to unnamed “industry sources”, and it would be best to take this bit of information with more than just a pinch of salt. Do bear in mind that it is not too difficult for Samsung to roll out a Tizen-powered device in the form of the Gear Blink, and the whispers of a March 2015 rollout also brings about hopes of the next generation Samsung Galaxy S6 (of whatever it is going to be called) within the same month next year.
