Are you also one of those people who lose their things even after keeping them carefully? Well your days of losing stuff might just be over. Google’s Find Hub network just added Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support, and that’s a big deal because this tech doesn’t only guess where your item is, it points you in the exact direction, with near pinpoint accuracy.

This is not another flashy update, it’s a stone in the way towards a comfort zone. With the advancements in tech, convenience is at our fingertips. Instead of wasting hours finding your wallet or keys, you just need to tap into your mobile and you’re good to go. Until now, there was only Apple’s AirTags cloud flex, released in 2021 with such UWB. But after Google’s update on Moto Tag in June 2025, it has become a competitor against AirTags. Additionally, Moto Tag offers family sharing, satellite syncing and wider network coverage. This might force Apple to speed up work on AirTag 2 to provide more smart features.

However, Apple is leading this category, because there are billions of active users of AirTags, but this is a big update for Android users. The real competition has begun in the bluetooth tracking system. Google’s new features, like UWB support and the expanded Find Hub network are impressive but there’s a noticeable gap between Apple and Android when it comes to reliability, ecosystem integration, and network reach. If Google wants to truly compete and lead this space, it will have to push harder and continue improving its tracker ecosystem. The road ahead won’t be easy, but Google is finally heading in the right direction.
