Two hours or Dark Souls III gameplay has been leaked online

1 min read

Dark Souls II wasn’t a bad game by any means, but most gamers can agree that it lacked much of what made the original Dark Souls so amazing, although there were some improvements as well. That being said, Dark Souls III is looking to be everything that the second game should have been and more, combining elements of the first two games, and even a bit of Bloodborne, to create something that looks like it could easily be one of the best games of the decade. We still have a few months to go before the game releases, but more than two hours of beta footage from the game has been posted online to hold us over while we wait.

Thousands of gamers applied for entry to last weekend’s Dark Souls 3 network stress test, courtesy of an application on the game’s website, but only a select few were lucky enough to gain entry. Thankfully, several streamers were given access to this weekend’s festivities and at least one recorded/published the vast majority of their experience with the Dark Souls 3 demo. Dark Souls 3 isn’t scheduled to make its North American debut for another six months, barring any big delays between now and then, but fans just can’t enough of the next brutally difficult action-RPG from Bandai Namco and FromSoftware. More than two hours of Dark Souls 3 gameplay footage hit YouTube this weekend, courtesy of YouTube channel TGN, featuring some of the new enemies, weapons and locations we’ll see in the final build of Dark Souls 3. And, like many of the Dark Souls 3 videos that hit YouTube in the last few days, it’s already been viewed thousands of times by the community. Those who’ve had an opportunity to play Dark Souls 3 at a recent convention, like gamescom or PAX Prime, will recognize most (if not all) of the content seen in the video. That’s because the Dark Souls 3 build used for the game’s first stress test is the same build Bandai Namco and From Software have been showing on the convention circuit these last few months. From what we can tell, the only significant change to the Dark Souls 3 demo is the addition of online support.
