A list of which ASUS devices that will be on the receiving end of this operating system update has been revealed, so for those who happen to own an ASUS PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity, or PadFone A80 have reason to smile. This particular Android 4.4 KitKat update will arrive on the original PadFone Infinity in Asia and Russia, as well as the PadFone A80 in Europe. As for the ASUS PadFone 2 and the new Infinity, both of them should be updated to the latest KitKat version regardless of its territory.

Following in the footsteps of many other Android device makers, Asus has finally decided to reveal its plans with regard to Android 4.4 KitKat updates. Today, the company shared a list of devices that should be updated at some point in the future. So, it’s good news for you if you own an Asus PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity (both old and new), or PadFone A80. The update will come to the original PadFone Infinity in Asia and Russia, and the PadFone A80 in Europe. The PadFone 2 and the new Infinity should see KitKat in all territories. The updates will be out for the PadFone 2, PadFone A80, and original PadFone Infinity by the end of the second quarter of the year – so in June, we assume. For the new PadFone Infinity, the update will only become available in the third quarter, so between July and September.
