Hot on the heels of the announcement that Microsoft is selling its feature phone business for $350 million, Nokia decided to announce that it’s going to be re-entering the mobile market. Microsoft sold the business to a subsidiary of Foxconn by the name of FIH Mobile, and a newly-formed Finnish company by the name of HMD Global, both of which will be working with Nokia to create a new generation of Nokia-branded smartphones and tablets. Unsurprisingly, these mobile devices will be powered by Android.
