Video conferencing platform Zoom confirmed that it has resolved the global outage that disrupted its services, including website, video calls, and application. More than 67,280 users reported an outage worldwide as of 3:01 p.m. ET. The company said on X 

         “Service has now been restored after the earlier outage,” 

The outage spiked around 2:30 p.m. EDT.  DownDetector found that 46% of the users complained about the website, 36% of users reported issues with the app, and 18% reported issues with login. These stats were reported till 4 p.m. EDT.  The reports started to fall by 5 p.m., with 32,000 users still complaining about the video conference platform outage. 

Zoom informed its users still facing hiccups to “flush your DNS cache and attempt to reconnect.”

Zoom is a video conference platform that gained popularity in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, the company ranked 417th on Forbes’ list of America’s best midsize employers. The company has a revenue of $4.5 billion and $9.9 billion in assets. 

Spotify Outage 

On 16 April, Spotify was also reported to face an outage in the US and Europe. The problems began early Wednesday morning, with reports coming in from the UK and other parts of Europe about difficulties streaming music. By 8:45 AM ET, Spotify confirmed the issue on its official Status account on X, stating

“We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out.”
