Amazing story of a boy who found his home 26 years later on Google Earth

When Saroo Munshi Khan was 5-years-old, he was searching for change on a stationary train when his 14-year-old brother went off to get something. Khan fell asleep. Several hours and 1500 kilometers later, he woke up in Calcutta with no way of getting back home.

He was adopted by an Australian family and grew up much like many from the west, but he still had memories of his home in India. One day, he decided to start looking on Google Earth which has accurate satellite views of much of the world. By matching these images with his memories, his story took an amazing turn.
