Apple’s feud with court-appointed monitor continues to deepen

Apple’s eBook price-fixing fiasco is being dragged kicking and screaming into the new year.  Apple’s monitoring lawyer, Michael Bromwich, is frustrated with both Apple’s refusal to cooperate with him and the company’s dubious portrayal of his team’s activities.

A feud between Apple Inc. AAPL +1.17% and a lawyer appointed by a federal court judge to monitor the company’s e-book pricing reform became even more acrimonious Monday. Michael Bromwich, the lawyer picked as Apple’s monitor, said in court documents filed Monday that Apple’s characterization of his team’s activities as a “roving investigation” in fact “bear no relation whatsoever to the activities we have attempted to conduct.”
