AT&T Moto X users may finally be getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat

45 sec read

If you happen to own a Moto X smartphone and are an AT&T subscriber, then here is good news for you. Apparently, those in this particular category of smartphone owners are closer to getting their hands on Android 4.4.2 KitKat as a soak test for the handset from AT&T has already begun. It is definitely nice to see AT&T finally play catch up to the likes of T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, and Sprint.

A new report out of Android Central claims that Motorola is kicking off the Android 4.4.2 soak test for AT&T’s Moto X today. We first caught wind of the impending test last week, and it’s said that the update was slated to begin pushing out this afternoon. No other information about the update has been revealed. The T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon and Sprint flavors of the Moto X have already been bumped up to Android 4.4.2, leaving AT&T customers as the last U.S. carrier-branded Moto X users without the latest version of KitKat. The good news for those folk is that these most of these soak tests seem to have gone pretty quickly so far, and so it may not be long before the full-on push begins.
