A statement on the Battlefield blog from bossman Karl Magnus Troedsson reads: “We have invested in new hardware to resolve this issue and deployed new higher-performance servers this week. In preparation, we conducted a significant amount of testing before installing the new servers to ensure they would correct the issue. We are already seeing performance improvement with 64-player matches and expect this to continue.”

Battlefield 4 has not seen the most friendly of receptions, largely in part due to rushed development leading to server issues which continue to plague the game to this day. One of the biggest problems fans face is rubber-banding, something that DICE finally has addressed with new “high-performance” servers. The problem was brought further to light in the recent release of the DLC package, Naval Strike, and DICE finally has a solution which it described in its official blog. “We have invested in new hardware to resolve this issue and deployed new higher-performance servers this week. In preparation, we conducted a significant amount of testing before installing the new servers to ensure they would correct the issue. We are already seeing performance improvement with 64-player matches and expect this to continue.
