European Commission clears Microsoft’s Nokia purchase

The EU has approved Microsoft’s planned purchase of Nokia’s mobile devices and services business. The European Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise any competition concerns

The European Commission has given Microsoft’s planned acquisition of Nokia’s mobile device business the green light. In a press release dated December 4, the Commission said it had investigated potential competition concerns and found none.
