Ford partners with University of Michigan to develop self-driving cars

Ford is pulling the academic world into autonomous car research because what student doesnโ€™t want a driver-less designated driver.ย The car manufacturerย partnered with the University of Michigan and insurance company State Farmย to create a โ€œresearchโ€ Ford Fusion Hybrid. Ford says it is working on making some real headway in the autonomous vehicle department by 2025.

The march toward an unstoppable army of robotย carsย continues. This time itโ€™s Ford developing our future overlords. Specifically, Ford has just revealed its new Fusion Hybrid Research Vehicle, which will act as a test platform for autonomous driving.
