I’m no small fan of Nintendo. In fact, as soon as I’m done with Techi today, I’m probably going to go laze shirtless on the couch and put some hard time in with my Wii.
Or maybe I won’t – the following is a Nintendo venture about which I have no idea how I feel. And it involves Google.
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, best-known as The Regginator to gamers, has announced that Nintendo has jointly developed a game for the Wii (past tense – meaning it’s already happening) with Google in which, and I quote – are you ready for this? Here it comes:
‘players compete to generate the most search engine results’.
Hey, um, Nintendo, was this Google’s idea? Because I for one am bored to tears when I have to thumb through search results. I can’t imagine the spin you’re going to put on this to make it fun. And don’t just add Mii support to the Google results page, because that’s totally 2006.
So far, the game is slated for a Japan-only release, but with Nintendo, it’s usually only a matter of time before a product crosses the sea.
Oh yeah, and it’s going to be $50.
Fat chance, Google.
