Google Demo Slam Makes Tech Demos Personal

Maybe tech demos are your most favorite thing in the world, but even if they are not, Google Demo Slam is trying to make them, at the very least, interesting and personal. The site, which had a soft launch nearly a month ago, appears to be growing, and it is getting special treatment on Google’s front page today.

The whole purpose of the site is to encourage users to post tech demos featuring technology — primarily by utilizing one of Google’s technologies. Then, users can submit these videos to Google Demo Slam, and if it is selected, it could become a contender. If it gets enough support, it can become a “Slam of the Week” and then battle it out with another slam, where site visitors can vote between two competing video demos. Then, eventually, a winner will be crowned.

There isn’t any prize specifically, other than the notoriety and exposure that appearing on the Demo Slam website. However, winners will be forever enshrined in the Hall of Demo Slam Champs page.

If you feel like you have the creative skill to create a tech demo featuring a Google technology, be sure to submit a video to the site and see if you have what it takes to be the best!
