For a brief moment, watching movies via BitTorrent was just as easy as watching something on your Netflix queue. The app Popcorn Time came out of nowhere a week ago with a slick interface that boiled down the messy torrenting experience into something simple. All you had to do was download the free app, find a movie, and wait for the stream to start. Of course, Popcorn Time was just as illegal as downloading torrents manually.

After closing up shop yesterday among the usual copyright questions, and just a week after its first launch, Popcorn Time is back. TorrentFreak has the story of how the project, abandoned by its founders, will live on at the hands of YTS developersIn a conversation with TorrentFreak, YTS developer Jduncanator assures streaming movie fans that not much will change. Jduncanator promises the transition will be seamless. The project is on GitHub, with a public installer coming shortly. Torrent fans, time to start figuring out which movie you’ll download first.
